We love our Montana Posted by Hello

We purchased our 2004 Montana 3380RL in March of 2004. Our intent was to have a year to get the unit ready for our travels after Glen's retirement. It's turned out to be a good decision. We have made some decorating modifications and simple improvements which will make living in the fifth wheel more pleasant and efficient. The fifth wheel is 37 feet long and tows beautifully behind our one ton Dodge dually... diesel, of course.

Our bedroom redo Posted by Hello

Denner's Divine Adventure

This is our week of beginnings. We have looked forward to Glen's retirement for a long time and it will become effective on Friday. We have looked forward to traveling in our fifth wheel for a long time. On Saturday we will leave for Savannah with no schedule in mind, except a four day stay at Skidaway Island. It's the beginning of our new, retired, traveling lifestyle.

We've taken short trips in our fifth wheel, a Montana 3380RL, during the past year since purchasing it in March 2004. But we are looking forward to taking trips without the restraint of having to report to work on Monday morning. We love the RV lifestyle and traveling to see God's beautiful creations and the family that we love so much.

Our big trip will start officially on June 11, 2005. Our plan, Lord willing, will take us to Tennessee, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, then off to Canada and Alaska. We will return via Oregon and Reno, Nevada for the Montana Rally, Arizona and Texas. After five months on the road we will be returning to Alabama with many wonderful memories, we hope. This trip will be our testing ground to see just how much we like fulltime living in an RV. It might just spur us on to a greater adventure....fulltiming.

We've been busy preparing the trailer for our long trip. The purchase of a Yamaha 3000 SEB generator will enable us to do more dry camping and give us the freedom of stopping overnite just about anywhere in any kind of weather. Glen has put up several small shelves to help us avail ourselves of every nook and cranny for storage. It's a challenge to find the perfect place for all the many things we need to live in such a small space.

A recent redecoration project in the bedroom gives us a special place to display photos, right at the head of our bed. Taking down the motel-style decorations and putting one of my quilts on the bed has given the room a homey look.

So, as we prepare for our trip and eventually hit the road, we invite you to join us, view our pictures, make comments, and communicate with us. We wish we could take you all along with us......we've had a lot of folks volunteer for that position already!
